CPUT Opens Registration For 2023 Academic Year

CPUT has officially opened their registration for the 2023 academic year. Keep reading for all the relevant dates and registration information to ensure your registration process runs smoothly.

First-year undergraduate students

Registration for first-year undergraduate CPUT students opens on Monday, 30 January 2023. Students who completed their Grade 12 final examinations in 2021 or earlier, can register from today, however, students who wrote their grade 12 exams in 2022 will need to wait while their applications are still pending.

Final evaluations for 2022 matriculants will take place from 24 January until 3 February 2023. Acceptance will be confirmed via SMS, but applicants should also frequently track their application status using this link: http://www.cput.ac.za/study/track

Registration will only take place online for first-year undergraduate students.

Returning undergraduate students

Returning undergraduate students can register online from 16 January to 3 February 2023.

Faculty registration periods may vary, so students should refer to the registration booklet for more detailed registration information.

Returning postgraduate students

Online registration with online assistance will run from 16 January until 3 March 2023.

How to register:

1. Visit the CPUT website, click on ‘Student Online Services’ and login using your student number and PIN.

2. Once you have logged in, select ‘Student Enquiry’ on the left. Click on ‘Summarised Statement of Account’ and ensure that all necessary payments have been made.

3. Select ‘Student Administration’ on the left. Ensure that all your personal information and contact details are correct.

4. Click on ‘Academic Registration’ on the left. Make sure that you have no registration restrictions, such as outstanding payments or academic exclusion. Even if you have been fully accepted, these restrictions will prevent you from proceeding with your registration.

5. Select ‘Rules and Regulations’ and accept the terms and conditions.

6. Click on ‘Submit Registration’ and ensure that all your details, including your qualification details are correct, before selecting ‘Accept Registration’.

7. For your proof of registration, select ‘Proof of Registration’ and print out the document.
