The City of Cape Town is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2023 JCC term after the successful reinstatement of the Junior City Council following the the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Junior City Council is a city-run, apolitical programme that aims to introduce secondary school students in Cape Town to the functions of the City Council.
The programme offers young people in grade 10 and 11 the opportunity to:
- Become a City ambassador
- Develop key leadership skills
- Enhance community project management skills
- Broaden their knowledge of local government
- Cultivate a culture of active citizenry
The programme will run over 8 months.
