Have you been informed that you have passed but are still waiting to receive your official results? This is a problem many TVET students across the country have been facing for years. Here is what you need to do if your TVET certificate is overdue.
Have you been informed that you have passed but are still waiting to receive your official results? Without the physical proof of a qualification it can be hard to move into the next phase of your career.
In order to find a job or apply for other study opportunities it is often necessary to have the documented evidence. However, many young lives have been brought to a standstill because of the inability to obtain their hard-earned qualifications.
Accessing overdue certificates is a frustration that has plagued TVET college students for years and has even led to protests in severe cases.
Students should first visit their college campuses to collect their certificates. If they are unsuccessful in receiving them at their campuses, then they should contact the Department of Higher Education and Training.
The department has advised all former TVET college students who are awaiting their results to escalate their enquiries with the department of higher education and lodge concerns via the e-GOV portal on www.eservices.gov.za
