False Bay TVET College offers vocational, occupational and skills training programmes that provide students with scarce and critical skills and practical experience in fields that present good prospects of employment. Applications may be done online via the college’s website.

False Bay College, located in Cape Town, South Africa, is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution.

The College offers vocational, occupational and skills programmes in a range of fields, such as Engineering, Business, Hospitality, Information Technology, Safety in Society, Education Studies, 2D Animation, Tourism and Boat Building.

False Bay College has a special focus on apprenticeship training in the following trades:

The College offers alternative modes of teaching and training, including Part-Time classes and Distance Learning options, and has six campuses in the False Bay coastal region of Cape Town.

Before students may apply they will need to complete a Career Guidance Questionnaire, which is available on the university website, as well as the Personal Information Consent Form. Applicants are reminded that their application will not be considered if they did not complete the questionnaire.

How To Apply To False Bay College Online

All applications to False Bay TVET College must be completed via the online portal. 

Applicants are advised to use Google Chrome as their preferred browser; you may use FireFox or other browser to submit your enquiry and/or application.

Please do not use Internet Explorer as it is not compatible with the online portal.

Here are the steps to apply to False Bay College:

  1. All new applicants must complete the Career Interest Questionnaire before applying.
  2. Read and accept the POPIA clause. When you tick “Accept” you will proceed to the next step of the application process.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form
  4. Upload the following certified documents: Identity Document/Birth Certificate, Latest Academic Results and Proof of Address.

The College Selection Committee will evaluate all applications received; admissions are based on the College admission policy and the applicant’s academic results.

Successful applicants will receive notification by means of an offer letter, which can be accessed via the Application Portal and must be accepted on the Application Portal.

Offer letters will expire within 5 days from the date of issue.

Once applicants have accepted the offer letter, they will be issued with an addendum, which needs to be completed and uploaded together with either proof of payment or Bursary Office approval notice (bursary slip) via the Application Portal.

On acceptance of offer letter, the Bursary Office will contact the applicants who indicated in their application that they are applying for a bursary. The Bursary Office will explain the process to be followed and documents required.

These documents will be checked and verified by the relevant campus after which admission will be approved.

Students will receive a notification that admission has been approved. This notice will also contain their student number and password to access the Student Portal.

The Student Portal will enable the student to access academic, financial and biographical information.
