Universities of Technology make use of the Student Online Services for students to be able to access their information anytime and anywhere. Students are required to use their details when logging into the student portal.
Universities South Africa (Usaf) confirmed that there are at least 26 public universities in the country and among these institutions are Universities of Technology.
These public institutions offer certificates, diplomas and degrees in a wide range of academic disciplines.
What makes Universities of Technology stand out is the fact that they provide their students with a balance of good academic grounding as well as a practical focus on the careers that they are linked to.
It is mandatory for students in these public institutions to use the Student Online Services (SOS) portal to access their student data anytime and from anywhere.
According to the Cape Peninsula University Of Technology, students will need to follow these steps to log in:
- Click on institution’s SOS login page
- On the page, students will need to choose the student option among four different login credentials options.
- Enter your student number and PIN
- Click the “Login” button
Should a student forget their pin, then they will need to log into the portal and click on the Request a pin button.
According to the institution, students only have a maximum of 3 attempts to request their SOS pin.
This portal helps students to register themselves online, check the subjects that they are registered for, print a proof of registration, view their progress marks, change their contact information, check and pay their fees online.
