How To Submit A Capitec Student Loan Application

Capitec Bank offers students the opportunity to further their studies with the help of the Credit-For-Education student loan. However, only a select set of tertiary institutions offer this loan option.

With Capitec bank’s Credit-For-Education student loan, students are provided with the chance to further pursue their studies. Unlike other student loans, this loan option is specifically for students who hope to apply to a set list of tertiary institutions that have partnered with Capitec to make this loan available.

Students are allowed to take out a loan of no more than R250 000. The loan is provided with a discounted interest rate and operates over an extended term.

Applicants will need to ensure that they meet the basic requirements before applying for the loan. Here are the student loan requirements:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Applicant should be 18 years or older.
• Should be studying at or applying to study at one of the institutions Capitec has partnered with.

Each institution has its own application process. However, each institution provides the student with an estimation of their loan as a way to determine whether the student qualifies for application.

How to Apply

Stadio:

2. Select ‘Apply Now’.
3. Click ‘Get Estimate’.
4. Follow the prompts, such as inserting your personal information.

The institution allows the student to choose a suitable credit option and measure whether they qualify for the loan.

Milpark Education:

1. Go to Milpark Education’s website.
2. Click ‘Apply Now’.

Once you have selected the apply button, you will be provided with an estimate for the loan amount as well as the interest rate.

AFDA:

1. Visit the AFDA website.
2. Click the plus sign next to the ‘Capitec Student Loans’.
3. Select ‘Apply Now’ to receive an estimate for the loan amount.

Boston City Campus:

1. Go to the Boston City Campus website.
2. Select ‘Apply Now’.
3. Receive loan estimate.

Stellenbosch University:

1. Visit Stellenbosch University’s website.
2. View components of loan options.
3. Scroll down to the link to find an estimate for the loan.

University of Stellenbosch Business School:

1. Go to the University of Stellenbosch Business School website.
2. Look through the loan components.
3. Select ‘Apply Now’.
4. Receive an estimate for the loan.

Johannesburg Business School:

3. View the loan options.
4. Select ‘Apply Now’.

Before students are given the go-ahead to apply, they will need to check if they qualify for the loan. If the student qualifies for the loan, a Capitec consultant will reach out within 48 hours to help them complete their application.
