Here Are 2023 Registration Dates For South African TVET Colleges – It’s almost time for the 2023 academic year to commence. If you applied to study at a TVET college and were accepted, here are the TVET college registration dates for 2023 in South Africa.
TVET Colleges refer to Technical Vocational Education and Training Colleges in South Africa. These are South Africa’s public colleges Most students go to a TVET college because they wish to pursue a career in a certain trade or skills related career.
As it’s the beginning of the 2023 academic year, registration periods will now be taking place to make sure students are enrolled. Here are the TVET College registration dates for 2023:
Boland TVET College
- Registration is open from 11 January
College of Cape Town
- Registration is open until 17 January
False Bay TVET College
- Registration is open until 20 January
Northlink TVET College
- 11 January: NCV level 2
- 12 January: NCV level 2, Nated N2, practical students – new
- 13 January: NCV level 2 & 3, Nated N2 & N3, practical students – new and returning
- 16 January: NCV level 2, 3 & 4, Nated N2 & N3, practical students – new and returning
- 17 January: NCV level 2, 3 & 4, Nated N2 & N3, practical students – new and returning
South Cape TVET College
- Registration is open from 11 January
West Coast TVET College
- Online registration is open from 11 January
Buffalo City TVET College
- Entry level NCV and Report 191: 13-17 January
- Returning levels NCV and Report 191: 16-19 January
Eastcape Midlands TVET College
- Registration is open from 9 January
Ingwe TVET College
- Registration is open from 9 January until 17 January
Lovedale TVET College
- Registration is open until 12 January
Port Elizabeth TVET College
- 10 & 11 January: NCV L2 (all programmes) & PLP (Pre-Learning Programmes)
- 11 & 12 January: N4 Semester Business Studies and Intro Business Studies
- 16 & 17 January: Returning students (all programmes)
- 19 January: N4 Semester Business Studies, 2022 Matriculants and Intro Business Studies

- Online registration is open from 12 January until 17 January
Majuba TVET College
- Registration is open from 1 January until 27 February
Mthashana TVET College
- Registration is open from 15 January until 25 January
Umgungundlovu TVET College
- 13 May: Part-time Engineering Studies
- 8 July: Part-time Business Studies
Goldfields TVET College
- Registration is open from 10 January until 13 January
Maluti TVET College
- Registration is open from 20 January until 17 February
Taletso TVET College
- Online registration is open from 12 January
Ekurhuleni East TVET College
- Walk-in registration is open from 9 January
Tshwane North TVET College
- 3 – 13 January: Online registration for new students
- 16 – 20 January: Online and on-campus registration for returning and senior students
Nkangala TVET College
- 9 – 13 January: Registration for new students
- 16 – 20 January: Registration for returning students
Lephalale TVET College
- Registration for both the Modimolle and Lephalale campuses will take place from 16 January until 27 January.
Sekhukhune TVET College
- Registration for new students took place on 10 January
Vhembe TVET College
- Online registration is open from 10 January until 17 January
