Teachers Choice in Action Portal – teachingprac.co.za

This article contains information on how to gain access to the Teachers Choice in Action Portal (https://teachingprac.co.za) also known as E-Learning Management System (LMS).

Welcome to the Teacher Choices in Action module! This module is the result of a ground-breaking national collaboration. This is the first time in teacher education that many different institutions have worked together to produce a single course available to all South African student teachers. We hope that you will enjoy doing the course as much as we have enjoyed designing it for you.

Online course materials will be available 24/7 for the duration of the module. You can work directly online, or you can prepare written tasks offline, and copy and paste your responses into the system once you are happy with them. You will work through each unit in your own time and at your own pace. You should manage your time and be sure to complete all work between the dates
determined by your institution. Read through the guideline that explains how the learning platform works

Additional Information

In cases where students do not have access to any device or data, other options are being explored, including the possibility of using the South African Post Office to deliver paper-based material to students. When contacting teaching resumes, students will receive additional assistance, particularly those who have struggled with the transition to online learning. It may be necessary for face-to-face lectures to be extended through the September and December vacation breaks and, for some cohorts, to extend the academic programme into 2023.

Students who have questions related to the academic programme should contact their respective schools. Students who do not have access to adequate mobile computing devices and cannot secure them elsewhere should contact their faculty representatives.
