HOW TO REGISTER UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AFRICA (UNISA)
You can register for the University of South Africa, UNISA for the academic year 2024–2024 online or with the help of the registration form in PDF format.
We advise all students to use the UNISA Online Registration system because it is quick, convenient, and precise. They will alert you during the online registration process if any of your information is incorrect, which will encourage you to include all necessary attachments when submitting the registration form.
Follow the steps below to register online at UNISA for 2024:
- Visit the UNISA Registration site: https://registration.unisa.ac.za
- Select the certification level for which you wish to register for.
- Then, click on “GO”
- Make sure you have your student number
- Enter your student number in the space
- Enter other useful information as needed
- Then, check all your personal details on the screen
- Change any contact information that is not correct.
- From the drop-down list, click on the Modules in which you wish to register
- Make sure you qualify for your chosen modules
- You are not to choose more than the prescribed number of modules per semester or year
- If you exceed the prescribed number of modules, your registration process will delay

- Then, you click on “Submit your Registration.”
HOW DO I PAY REGISTRATION FEES AT UNISA?
There are two stages to the registration procedure at Unisa, as most people are aware. They must also make the initial registration payment in order for the registration to be complete, after which they must submit the registration papers.
They will drop students who cannot meet their financial responsibilities and miss the registration deadline from the class, be forced to reapply, and must enroll in Semester 2 instead.
You may find more information online here about the various payment options and how to pay for your Unisa education. The following dates are the last for making the initial payment required to confirm and complete registration for the first semester:
- 04 February 2024 for semester modules on undergraduate, postgraduate, and honors studies;
- 7 March 2024 for undergraduate year modules; and
- 31 March 2024 for postgraduate/honors year modules.
WHY SHOULD I REGISTER TO STUDY AT UNISA?
Although many educational institutions have returned to face-to-face instruction, distance learning has grown more popular in recent years.
If you exclude the tutorial classes, Unisa does not have this advantage over other universities because it is an open-distance e-learning university. Benefits of attending Unisa include the ability to study from home at your own pace (other than meeting your assignment due dates).
Through the myUnisa website, students can connect to the university, where they can access study materials and get help from certified tutors. Not everyone will attend courses every day because of their many obligations.
