It’s time for University of the Free State students to register for the 2023 academic year. This is all the information you need to know.
University of the Free State (UFS) registration dates differ for first year, senior and postgraduate students and will take place as follows:
- 6-17 February 2023: Curriculum advice and registration for first year students
- 30 January – 17 February 2023: Curriculum advice and registration for senior students
- 30 January – 17 February 2023: Curriculum advice and registration for postgraduate students (Honours and PGDip – unless communicated otherwise by your faculty)
Students can complete their registration online via the student portal.

Please note that you should click on the guide that is applicable to you, as registration instructions may differ for students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Ensure that you have received and accepted a firm offer from the university before attempting to complete your registration.
