When Unisa 2023 Registration Will Close

If you have received an offer to study at Unisa then you will need to accept the offer and register in order to be enrolled in your chosen programme. Here’s when Unisa’s 2023 registration will close.

The University of South Africa (Unisa) is the largest Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) institution in Africa offering many certificates, degrees and diplomas at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels.

The University has released the registration dates for all of its programmes.

Unisa sends new applicants an offer of placement and these applicants must accept the offer and register within the prescribed period in order to secure their spot at the university.

Each degree has a different registration period so it is important to take note of the deadlines.

Here Are the Closing Dates for Unisa’s 2023 Registration

Undergraduate students

The higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, BTech & degrees, including the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) may have the following deadlines:

  • Semester 1 and 2 modules: 3 February 2023
  • Year modules: 20 March 2023
  • Semester 2 modules registered in semester 2: 14 July 2023

Honours students

  • Semester 1 and 2 modules: 3 February 2023
  • Year modules: 31 March 2023
  • Semester 2 modules registered in semester 2: 14 July 2023

Postgraduate students

  • Semester 1 and 2 modules: 3 February 2023
  • Year modules: 31 March 2023
  • Semester 2 modules registered in semester 2: 14 July 2023

Master’s and Doctoral students

  • Master’s and Doctoral qualifications: 31 March 2023
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Leadership (MBL)  qualifications (second-semester modules only): 3 February 2023
  • Master of Accounting Sciences (98656) AUE, FAC, GOV, INT, MAC & TAX options: 3 February 2023

Once students register Unisa provides them with a free myLife email address, but the student is responsible for activating the myLife email account as soon as their registration is finalised.

The university will send all communications to this myLife email account.

Registration for all degrees takes place online via the Unisa website and students must pay their registration fee in order for their registration to be finalised.
