The University of Western Cape (UWC) has opened its registration period for 2025. This includes registration for undergraduate, honours, postgraduate diploma, master’s and doctorate students.
The University of The Western Cape (UWC) has opened up registrations for the 2025 academic year. The online registration period will run from 10 January 2025 to 10 February 2025.
Registrations can be done online or students can participate in the assisted registration process which is available for specific faculties and programmes.
Online Registration Dates
- Returning Undergraduate, Honours and Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate students:Â 10 January 2025 – 10 February 2025
- PhD and Masters students:Â 10 January 2025 – 10 February 2025
- New Undergraduate students:Â 23 January 2025 – 03 February 2025
Online registrations will be done via the UWC Student Portal
Applicants/Students will need to access the Student Portal at various stages of their registration. Your login details are as follows:
- Student Number
- SA ID or Passport number
UWC has advised students to make sure that they register before the due dates listed above, as the university will not be accepting any late registrations unless permission is sought from and granted by the Faculty in question.
Once students have completed their registration, they will receive their proof of registration and timetable via email.
The first semester (first academic term) commences on 13 February 2025.Â
