The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, better known as AFDA has opened their applications for the 2024 academic year.

AFDA is a private higher education institution which offers fully accredited degrees and higher certificates in film, performance, entertainment, business and technology at its four campuses spread across South Africa. These campuses are found in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth).
Applications are currently open for their undergraduate degrees, higher certificates and postgraduate qualifications.
The courses offered at each campus may differ, so ensure that the your preferred campus offers the programme you wish to study.

How To Apply
- Visit the application section of AFDA’s website.
- Select your year of study, your preferred campus and the programme you want to apply for and click “continue”.
- Fill out all your personal information, including your contact details and funding information. Click “continue”.
- Complete the education history section.
- Complete the motivation section of the application and submit it when completed.
Once you have submitted your completed application form, you can arrange to visit the campus for a consultation. You will then need to await an acceptance letter.
Once you have received your acceptance letter, you will be able to register to secure your place.
