Sassa operates within the framework of the Social Assistance Act. Steps To Reset Your Sassa Password Online
Some people are not able to access the portal because they cannot remember their password. Here is a step-by-step guide to resetting your Sassa password.
Step 1: Go to the Sassa services website
Step 2: Click on the 3 lines next to the menu on the right-hand corner
Step 3: Click on Forgot your login details?
Step 4: Enter your ID number
Step 5: You will receive an OTP on the mobile number provided during registration
Step 6: Enter the OTP into the system
Step 7: Choose a new password and confirm it
Once you have completed this, you will be able to log in to the Sassa services portal and access all the services Sassa has to offer.
Grants Distributed By Sassa
Sassa distributes several permanent grants to more than 18 million people monthly. These permanent grants include the Older Persons grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.
Sassa also distributes the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. The SRD grant, commonly referred to as the R350 grant, is distributed by unemployed people living in South Africa who meet eligibility criteria determined by Sassa.
