Sol Plaatje University is one of South Africa’s youngest universities which was opened in the Northern Cape. If you plan to apply to this university then you will need to submit documents along with your application, here’s what you’ll need.
Sol Plaatje University (SPU) was established in 2014 in Kimberly and is the first university to be established in the Northern Cape province.
The university offers various qualifications including Higher Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Bachelor’s Degrees, and Post Graduate certificates.
Students can apply to pursue qualifications in the following courses at SPU:
- Economic and Management Sciences
- Education
- Humanities
- Natural and Applied Sciences
As the university grows it plans to add more courses and programmes in the various faculties it offers.
Before students apply they must first check the entrance requirements for the course they wish to study. Once they have carefully read the requirements and ensured that they have met them then they can begin the application process.
When students apply for admission to SPU they must upload documents along with their application in order to complete the application process.
Here Are the Documents You Will Need to Apply at SPU:
- If you are currently in Grade 12:
- Final Grade 11 results
- Certified copy of your ID
- If you have completed Grade 12:
- Certified copy of your final grade 12 results if you have completed Matric
- An affidavit declaring that you have studied at another higher education institution(If you have). If you have never enrolled at a university or college since high school then you must declare this in an affidavit.
- Certified copy of your ID
- If you have studied at another institution:
- Academic transcript and Certificate of Conduct if you have studied previously or completed matric more than one year before applying to SPU.
- Certified copy of your final grade 12 results
- Certified copy of your ID
