The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is on track with arrangements to disburse the April 2023 Sassa social grants payments from Tuesday, 4th April 2023.
Sassa begins distributing these permanent grants on the second day of every new month. However, if the second day of a month falls on a weekend or public holiday, grants will be distributed on the following working day.

- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Tuesday, 4th April 2023
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5th April 2023
- All other Grants: Thursday, 6th April 2023
Only qualifying beneficiaries will receive the social grant payouts every month.
SASSA also urges all clients to make use of the multiple ways available to access their funds. The methods include the use of retailers and ATMs.
R350 Sassa Payment Dates For April 2023
Sassa will begin distributing April 2023 grant payments on Tuesday, 4th April 2023. Tuesday, 4th April 2023 to Thursday, 6th April 2023 is reserved for the payment of old age, disability and child grants. The rest of the month is dedicated to the payment of R350 SRD grants.
There is no fixed payment date for those who receive their Sassa R350 SRD grant payments through the bank account.
Beneficiaries can receive their Sassa grant payments through CashSend, directly into their bank account or their Sassa card.
R350 Sassa Grant Payments can be collected at selected supermarkets such as Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Boxer and Pick n Pay stores.
Sassa Beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.
SASSA confirmed, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.”
