If you have applied for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, it is best that you constantly track your application, as you might receive a ‘Deceased Record On DHA’ status.
When the rest of the world went into lockdown, many households changed and the financial implications that came with the Covid-19 pandemic were also felt in most, if not all sectors.
President Cyril Ramaphosa responded by introducing the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, valued at R350, to individuals that were unemployed.
If you have applied for the grant, it is best that you track the outcome of your application as much as you can.
Should you receive a ‘Deceased Record On DHA’ status, then this means that you were registered as deceased on the Department of Home Affairs database for the specific months which are assessed in order to determine your eligibility for the grant.
To Track Your Application Online, Follow These Steps:
- Go to the Sassa SRD grant website
- Scroll down to ‘Application status’
- Click on ‘Click here to check online’
- Fill in the required fields
- You should then be able to see the status of your R350 grant application
You may also alternatively use the government agency’s WhatsApp line (082 046 8553) or by calling 0800 60 10 11 and follow the prompts.
The outcome of your grant applications depends a number of factors which are used when your applications is being verified to indicate whether or not you qualify for financial assistance in the form of the SRD grant.
