How to apply for Sassa R350 SRD grant? The SASSA SRD R350 Grant application process is simple. You can go to SASSA’s SRD grant website to apply online. In this article, you will learn how to submit SASSA SRD R350 Grant application online.

The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is administered in terms of section 32 of the Social Assistance Act, 2004 (Act No. 13 of 2004) and is implemented with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance.

The SRD grant will end in March 2024. Every month, Sassa R350 SRD grant applications are open for all those who want to apply for Sassa SRD.

How to Apply for Sassa R350 SRD Grant

If you want to submit Sassa SRD R350 application, follow the below steps:

  • Step 1: Go to srd.sassa.gov.za to apply
  • Step 2: Scroll down to the ‘How do I apply for this SRD Grant’ section
  • Step 3: Click on the yellow bar which says ‘click here to apply online’
  • Step 4: Enter your mobile number
  • Step 5: Click “Send SMS”
  • Step 6: Then enter the one time pin (OTP) you received to your number from Sassa
  • Step 7: Continue with the Sassa SRD R350 grant application process by completing all the steps required by Sassa

Alternatively, you can also apply for the R350 grant via WhatsApp. Add 082 046 8553 as a contact on your phone. You only have to apply once via this web site or the above WhatsApp number and not many times on every channel. SASSA will only process one application received from each applicant.

All SRD R350 grant applicants must reconfirm their grant applications at least once every 3 months. This reconfirmation informs SASSA that applicants still need and qualify for the grant in terms of the regulations. Existing applicants can also update their responses to the screening questionnaire here, at any time, should their circumstances change or to correct errors.

Under the new Act introduced by the Government, existing Sassa R350 beneficiaries are urged to reapply. Once they have reapplied for this SRD grant, they won’t have to apply again for the R350 grant.
